Alani Roadmap Update: Powerful New Features and What's Coming Next

The way you work with knowledge is changing. At Alani, we're building the tools that make complex information accessible, collaboration seamless, and insights actionable. Here's what we've shipped recently and what's coming down the pipeline.
No more wondering when your files will be ready
You now have real-time visibility into every file you upload. The new file management screen shows exactly how long ingestion will take, tracks your upload queue, and eliminates the guesswork from project planning. No more wondering when your documents will be ready or how long you'll wait for processing.
This transparency means smoother onboarding for large document sets and better project timeline management. You can now plan your work with confidence, knowing exactly when your knowledge base will be complete and searchable.
No more missed connections and surface-level insights
We've upgraded to Google's Gemini-Embedding-001, which ranks #1 globally on the Massive Text Embedding Benchmark with an impressive 68.4% overall score and 73.3% for English-language tasks. This puts Alani among the most sophisticated knowledge platforms available today.
The technical leap is significant: Gemini processes 8,000 input tokens with 3,000-dimensional output vectors, delivering remarkably nuanced understanding across over 100 languages. What sets Gemini apart is its exceptional balance of performance, efficiency, and multilingual capability. While models like Qwen3 edge ahead slightly in pure benchmarks, they require much larger computational overhead. Gemini delivers 97% of that performance with far greater efficiency.
For your work, this means Alani now catches subtle relationships between concepts that previous embedding models missed entirely. Legal document analysis picks up on precedent connections across jurisdictions. Scientific literature reviews surface interdisciplinary insights. Financial reports reveal patterns across global markets and regulatory frameworks.
The upgrade is particularly powerful for international teams and multilingual document sets, where Gemini's superior cross-language understanding ensures nothing gets lost in translation or cultural context.
No more scrambling to verify sources after the fact
Every Alani Profile now automatically includes citations and sources in responses. This means every answer comes with verifiable backing, making it easier to trust and share insights with stakeholders. You can still customize tone and response style while maintaining this higher standard of transparency.
The result is responses you can confidently present to clients, colleagues, or executives without additional fact-checking steps.
No more losing the thread with complex, multi-document projects
Our context handler now processes more documents simultaneously and works faster than before. Alani can draw from a broader knowledge base when responding, and summarization remains efficient even with massive document sets that exceed context windows.
This means your research and analysis workflows handle larger, more complex projects without performance degradation. Complex queries that previously required multiple interactions can now be resolved in single conversations.
No more losing brilliant insights found on the go
We're building a streamlined mobile experience for capturing content while browsing. With a single tap, you'll bundle articles, highlights, and other web content directly into Alani for later review and analysis.
This feature bridges the gap between discovery and action, ensuring valuable insights found on mobile devices make it into your structured knowledge workflow.
No more working in isolation on complex problems
Collaborative intelligence is coming to Alani. Teams will be able to share insights, co-curate knowledge bases, and work together on complex analysis projects. This multiplayer mode enables collective sense-making that's faster and more comprehensive than individual work.
Groups will be able to build shared understanding from raw information, with each team member contributing their expertise to create richer, more complete insights.
No more reinventing solutions that already exist somewhere in your organization
We're expanding collaborative features for large organizations. Our work with Ford demonstrates how institutional knowledge can be surfaced, lessons learned can be captured, and insights can be connected across departments and teams.
These enterprise features help organizations build on existing knowledge rather than recreating solutions, turning institutional memory into a competitive advantage.
These updates represent more than feature additions. They're steps toward a future where working with knowledge feels effortless and transparent. Where teams can collaborate on complex problems without losing context. Where insights are automatically grounded in verifiable sources.
Every improvement serves the same goal: helping you transform information into understanding, and understanding into action.
The tools are ready. The capabilities are proven. And the next breakthrough in your work might be just one query away.
We build Alani based on how you actually work with knowledge. These features exist because you've shared your challenges, your workflows, and your vision for better tools.
We'd love to hear how these new capabilities are changing your work. What insights are you discovering? What problems are you solving? How is your team collaborating differently?
Your feedback shapes what we build next.
