In this post, we’ll guide you through the process of adding users to your workspaces using Alani AI. Whether you're looking to collaborate with team members or manage data more efficiently, this step-by-step tutorial will help you get started.

Step 1: Upgrade to the Team Plan

If you don’t already have a team plan, the first thing you need to do is upgrade your account. The team plan allows you to add new users and manage roles effectively. To upgrade, navigate to your account settings and select the team plan option.

Step 2: Access the User Management Section

Once you have the team plan, go to the left-hand navigation menu and click on "Users." Here, you’ll see a list of current users in your account. If you’re just getting started, you might only see yourself listed.

Step 3: Add a New User

To add a new user, click on the "Add User" button. You’ll be prompted to enter the email address of the person you want to invite. For this example, we’ll add one of our test accounts.

Step 4: Assign a Role

Next, you’ll need to assign a role to the new user. You can choose from three roles:

• Admin: Can manage people and data, including adding other users.
• Contributor: Can only add data, such as uploading files to different bundles.
• Subscriber: Read-only access. The team plan allows unlimited subscribers and up to 10 contributors or admins.

Step 5: Set Permissions and Access

After selecting a role, you can customize the user’s permissions and access levels. Click through the different options to set the appropriate permissions for the new user. Once you’re satisfied, click "Create."

Step 6: Invite the User

Once you click "Create," the new user will receive an invitation to join your workspace. They will appear in the user list, and you can manage their permissions as needed.

Step 7: Create a Bundle

When you create a new bundle, you can easily toggle the new user’s access on or off. This allows you to control who can view and interact with specific datasets.
