In this tutorial, we'll explore how to use Imani, a powerful tool that allows you to interact with one or multiple documents simultaneously. Unlike ChatGPT or Claude, which typically handle one document at a time, Alani AI offers more flexibility in document interaction.
Step 1: Adding Data to Your Platform
Before you begin chatting, you need to upload your data to the Imani platform. This can be done using the option on the right-hand side of the interface. (Note: For detailed instructions on uploading data, refer to the linked video in another section.)
Step 2: Attaching Data
- Click on "Attach Data"
- Select "Workspace"
- Choose from your datasets
Step 3: Selecting DocumentsYou have several options when selecting documents:
- Attach one or more bundles
- Select an individual file from a dataset
- Note: Currently, you can't select multiple individual files at once
Step 4: Chatting with a Single Document
- Select a single file (e.g., a YouTube video transcript)
- The chat interface will display information about the selected document
- You can now start asking questions or interacting with the specific document
Step 5: Chatting with Multiple Documents
- Clear the previous chat
- Click on "Entire Bundle"
- Turn on the option to chat with the full bundle
- The interface will show you're chatting with the entire dataset (e.g., "2024 stock market research")
Benefits of Chatting with Multiple Documents:
- Access to a larger pool of information (e.g., 150+ documents, some 400+ pages long)
- Ability to get comprehensive answers drawing from various sources
- Easy navigation between different documents within the bundle
Step 6: Exploring Sources
- Imani provides source information for its responses
- Click on the source link to view the original document
- You can see a list of all documents in the bundle (e.g., 155 documents in the example)
Alani's ability to toggle between individual files and entire bundles of documents offers a versatile and powerful way to interact with your data. Whether you're analyzing a single video transcript or researching across hundreds of documents, Imani provides a seamless experience for information retrieval and analysis.
